Borneo

Experience Borneo's diverse culture, stunning beaches, and unique wildlife.

Singapore to Kota Kinabalu is 2h20m, operated by several airlines.

Borneo, a giant, rugged island in Southeast Asia’s Malay Archipelago, is shared by the Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak, Indonesian Kalimantan and the tiny nation of Brunei. It’s known for its beaches and ancient, biodiverse rainforest, home to wildlife including orangutans and clouded leopards. In Sabah is 4,095m-tall Mount Kinabalu, the island’s highest peak, and, offshore, the famed dive site Sipadan Island.

Although Kota Kinabalu is a big city, the activities and sights are easily done in two full days. Two nights and three days is suggested. There is one exception. If you are going to climb Mount Kinabalu, you will need more time.

Ubud is famous for handicrafts, lush green tropical jungles terraced rice fields and Hindu temples and shrines. Shopping, temple hopping and coffee tasting are just a few of the unique things to do in Ubud.
