World Express was invited by the Singapore Tourism Board to speak at the 3rd Thailand–Singapore Cruise Development Taskforce Meeting, held at Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Trees. Our Managing Director, Darren Tan, joined a panel of esteemed speakers from across the cruise and tourism sectors, as well as bodies like Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), at the  “Sustainability in Cruise” Workshop. The session offered valuable insights into how global sustainability standards and best practices can be applied within cruise development.

We appreciated the opportunity to engage with our Thai counterparts and share about our very own GSTC-journey, as well as exchange perspectives on advancing responsible and sustainable cruise tourism. The discussions reinforced the importance of alignment across government agencies, international bodies, cruise lines, and tour operators — all contributing to the same interconnected ecosystem. We remain committed to supporting this collaborative effort and strengthening sustainable practices within the industry.
