We’re proud to share that World Express is now officially GSTC-certified, becoming one of the first five DMCs in Singapore to receive this internationally recognised accreditation. This milestone, following our 2024 brand refresh, reflects our deep and ongoing commitment to advancing a more sustainable, resilient, and environmentally responsible tourism industry.

This achievement was made possible by the dedication of our passionate team, led by Sustainability Champions Kia Feng Kum (Senior Manager – MICE) and Tara Tan (Corporate Communications Manager) —who collaborated with the committee across departments to redesign internal systems, reduce environmental impact, and align our operations with global best practices in sustainable tourism. The certification process, conducted by accredited body Vireo Srl, marked the culmination of several months of organisational transformation, supported by the expert guidance of sustainability consultant Ailynn Seah (The Lumière Consultancy).

Throughout the process, we embedded sustainability principles into every aspect of our work—from implementing greener supply chain standards and promoting low-impact travel experiences, to enhancing staff wellness initiatives and forging deeper partnerships with socially and environmentally focused enterprises. It has been a holistic journey grounded in care, accountability, and a shared vision for sustainable travel.

Looking ahead, we’re actively curating a new suite of sustainability-focused experiences, including nature-immersive activities, and community-led programmes that champion local impact. The GSTC certification is not a final destination—but a catalyst for deeper change, as we continue to shape travel that is not only memorable, but meaningful and sustainable.
